AIMS reaches out to over 45,000 special kids across Sydney
20/12/2005
AIMS Home Loans is once again bringing Christmas cheer to thousands of special and underprivileged children across Sydney and country NSW, helping make them and their families feel loved and cared for during the holiday season.
AIMS has been supporting the Special Children’s Christmas Party for the third year in a row, an annual gift-giving event organised specially for seriously-ill, intellectually and physically challenged, orphaned, as well as poor and disadvantaged children.
This year, the event marks its tenth year, was held on 13 December 2005 at the Sydney Showgrounds in Homebush NSW, with over 45,000 kids benefiting. Various children’s charities benefit from the event, among them the Make A Wish Foundation.
George Wang, Executive Director of the AIMS Group, says, “AIMS has always had a soft spot for underprivileged children, and this year we are again pleased to be a major sponsor of this event. This is our way of bringing back to the community the support they have given us during the past year.”
AIMS, which prides itself as a local community financial services company and a champion for the local communities, is also sending its staff to volunteer on the day.
“AIMS staff volunteering their time and effort is just another way of demonstrating our support for this noteworthy project. More than contributing financially to the event, being there to help out and witnessing the kids’ faces light up as they receive their gifts makes the experience truly fulfilling”, Wang adds.
This year, AIMS has increased its support for children’s charities by adopting 15 kids from underprivileged families coming from different corners of the globe under the care of the global charity, World Vision.
