AIMS Renews Its Sponsorship of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia's Top Mortgage Students
13/02/2007
AIMS Home Loans, a multi-awarded lender and one of the first non-bank mortgage managers in Australia, has extended its two-year sponsorship of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia’s (FINSIA) top mortgage students for a second period in a row, until 2008.
AIMS’ sponsorship is in line with the company’s strong support of aspiring mortgage professionals and broadly of continuing education in the mortgage industry.
Greg Stevens, AIMS General Manager for Servicing and Marketing, says “AIMS’ sponsorship is a reflection of our desire to see mortgage industry participants obtaining minimum education standards before being allowed to operate in the industry. We strongly support training requirements being incorporated into future licensing of mortgage industry operatives. Further, through the sponsorship, we hope to contribute towards raising industry standards and professionalism”.
AIMS’ sponsorship this year involves an award and cash prize given to the top student enrolled in FINSIA’s Loan Evaluation and Processing (DL 4) unit within the Diploma of Lending program. The awardee is Kerry Basman.
In 2005, AIMS sponsored Alexandra Frantseva, who completed a Diploma of Lending at the Securities Institute of Australia (SIA) and was at top of her class in Mortgage Credit Analysis (DML 4).
Stevens adds, “AIMS is proud to be associated with a leading industry training institution such as FINSIA, and is committed to providing incentives to top-performing students who will be the mortgage industry’s leaders tomorrow”.
